This notice explains how the PacketVisit marketing website and related web app flows use cookies and similar technologies. The local diary (browser storage / app sandbox) is separate and is described in the Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage keys used for preferences, sessions, and the on-device diary.

2. Types we may use

Strictly necessary — security, load balancing, consent storage, keeping you signed in, and checkout handoff to Paddle
Preferences — remembering UI choices where offered
Analytics — only if enabled and, where required (EU/UK), after consent. If we add a named analytics vendor, we will list it here.

3. Named processors (web)

Clerk — account sign-in / session cookies or tokens when you use the PacketVisit web app Account features
Paddle — checkout and customer portal cookies / storage when you start a trial or manage billing (Merchant of Record)
Marketing host — essential cookies for the Astro / CDN site (e.g. Cloudflare) as needed to serve pages securely

Diary entries in the web app use browser storage (not a marketing cookie). Clearing site data can erase the local diary — use Data & backup.

4. EU / UK consent

Non-essential cookies will not be set without consent where ePrivacy / GDPR rules require it. You can withdraw consent by clearing cookies and adjusting banner choices when a banner is present.

5. United States / Canada

We aim to limit tracking. If we use analytics vendors, we will disclose them here and honor applicable opt-out mechanisms (including Global Privacy Control where we implement support).

6. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break sign-in or checkout.
