How PacketVisit works

From a daily note to something you can show at the visit — and a backup you control.

  1. 01

    Log what you feel

Pick a category, rate intensity 1–10, mark where it hurts, and choose descriptors from closed lists.

  2. 02

    Attach weather context

Optional location records current conditions plus next 24 / 48 / 72 hour windows with the entry.

  3. 03

    Keep it on this device

Diary and weather snapshots stay in this browser (or later the iOS and Android apps). Cloud is only for account and subscription status.

  4. 04

    Back up your file

Use Data & backup to save and restore. Clearing site data or switching browsers without a backup can empty the diary.

  5. 05

    Export a visit packet

Premium unlocks PDF or CSV for the appointment — your self-report summary only. It is not a medical record, diagnosis, or clinical recommendation. Free keeps diary and backups local.

What PacketVisit does not do

Clear limits protect you, keep the product honest, and define how PacketVisit may be used.

  • No diagnosis. We never suggest a condition, score a disease, or replace clinical judgment.
  • Not a substitute for a clinician. Logging and export are not a treatment plan. Health decisions belong with you and a licensed professional — do not delay or avoid care because of this app.
  • You remain responsible. If you self-manage symptoms without professional advice, you do so at your own risk. PacketVisit does not assume clinical responsibility for outcomes.
  • Not for chest symptoms. Chest pain or pressure is out of scope — seek medical care. The app blocks that pathway.
  • Not an emergency service. PacketVisit is not monitored by clinical staff. If you feel unsafe or severely unwell, call your local emergency number now (for example 112 in the EU, 911 in the US and Canada) or contact a clinician.
  • No medication advice. You may note what you took; we never recommend drugs or doses.
  • Weather is not a medical forecast. Optional weather snapshots (including next 24 / 48 / 72 hours) are environmental context for your notes — they do not diagnose, predict flares, or prove that weather causes your pain.

What PacketVisit is

Short facts you (or search tools) can quote. Full detail is on Pricing and the legal pages.

  • PacketVisit is a local-first self-report pain / health diary. You can export a structured visit packet (PDF or CSV) to bring to your clinician.
  • Diary data stays on your device or browser. An Account is for sign-in and subscription — not a PacketVisit cloud health database.
  • Not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure. It is not a substitute for professional care. Not for chest symptoms or emergencies.
  • Free: diary + local backup. Premium: visit packet export — $7.99/month or $79.99/year, with a 14-day free trial on the web via Paddle (Merchant of Record).
  • More: Pricing · Medical Disclaimer · Privacy · llms.txt

Weather context with every entry

With your permission, PacketVisit records local weather beside your self-report — current conditions plus forward-looking windows. Useful context for you and your clinician; not a diagnosis and not a prediction that weather will cause pain.

  • Now

Temperature, pressure, and sky condition at the time you log an entry (when location is allowed).

  • +24h

Next-day window: forecast temp range, pressure tendency, sky, and estimated front / wind.

  • +48h

Two-day look-ahead so later notes can sit next to the weather you expected.

  • +72h

Three-day horizon — same fields, stored with the entry for your visit packet.

Location stays on your device for the weather lookup. You can decline permission and still keep a full diary — weather simply won’t attach. Front labels are estimated from forecast gradients, not an official meteorological bulletin. Evidence linking weather and pain is mixed — see the FAQ.

Back up your diary on the web

Local-first means you control a backup file on your device or Downloads — PacketVisit does not host a cloud health diary. Use Data & backup in the app to save and restore. Premium visit-packet export is not a full diary backup.

  • Stored in this browser. On the web, your diary lives in this browser’s local storage — not in a PacketVisit cloud diary.
  • Clearing site data loses entries. Clearing cache or site data without a backup file can erase your journal on that browser.
  • Another browser starts empty. A different browser, device, or private window won’t see prior entries until you restore a backup you saved.
  • Account ≠ diary sync. Sign-in and Premium only manage billing entitlement. They do not upload or sync your pain diary.

  • Exports and sharing happen on your side (download / OS share sheet)

Pricing & billing on the web

Free: diary and Data & backup on your device (this browser — not a PacketVisit cloud diary). Premium: clinician visit packet (PDF + CSV) — $7.99/month or $79.99/year, with a 14-day free trial (card required). Account / billing use Clerk and Paddle; they do not upload your diary entries.

  • Web checkout via Paddle as Merchant of Record — invoices and applicable VAT / sales tax handled by Paddle.
  • After the 14-day free trial, billing continues at the listed price unless you cancel first. Cancel or update payment in Manage billing (Paddle portal) — cancel is as easy as starting the trial.
  • 30-day money-back on your first paid charge after the free trial (web / Paddle). Once a second monthly charge is taken, money-back no longer applies.
  • App Store / Google Play purchases (when available) use Apple or Google’s own refund process — not this Paddle money-back policy.

FAQ

Short answers. Details live in Pricing, Privacy, Terms, and the Medical Disclaimer.

Where is my diary stored on the web?
In this browser’s local storage — not in a PacketVisit cloud diary. Use Data & backup to save a file. Clearing site data or using another browser without a restore can show an empty journal.
Why does PacketVisit ask for location?
Only to attach optional weather context (current plus next 24 / 48 / 72 hours) to an entry. You can decline and still keep a full diary. Location is used on-device for the weather lookup, not uploaded as a diary feed for analysis.
Does weather prove or predict my pain?
No. Research on weather and pain is mixed and individual. Weather snapshots are environmental context for your notes and visit packet — not a diagnosis or medical forecast.
How does the free trial and money-back work?
Premium starts with a 14-day free trial (card required) via Paddle on the web. Unless you cancel first, billing continues at the listed price after the trial. Cancel anytime in Manage billing (Paddle portal) — as easy as starting the trial. After the first paid charge, a 30-day money-back window may apply; once a second monthly charge is taken, money-back no longer applies.
Is PacketVisit for chest pain or emergencies?
No. Chest symptoms are out of scope and blocked in the app. PacketVisit is not monitored. If you feel unsafe or severely unwell, call your local emergency number (for example 112 in the EU, 911 in the US/Canada) or a clinician now.
Is the visit packet a medical record?
No. The PDF or CSV is a summary you prepare from your own diary entries for personal use with a clinician. It is not an official medical record, diagnosis, or recommendation. Your clinician interprets what you share.
Can PacketVisit replace seeing a doctor?
No. It is a self-report wellness journal and optional visit-packet export — not a medical device, diagnosis, treatment plan, or substitute for professional care. Do not delay or avoid a clinician because of the app.
Who is responsible for my health decisions?
You — and your licensed clinician when you involve one. If you self-manage without professional advice, you do so at your own risk. PacketVisit does not assume clinical responsibility. See the Medical Disclaimer.
When are iOS and Android apps available?
iOS and Android apps coming soon. The web app is available today for journaling, backup, and Premium checkout.

About weather and pain: published studies report modest or mixed associations (and sensitivity varies by person). PacketVisit records context for your self-report — it does not claim weather causes or forecasts your symptoms. See the Medical Disclaimer.
